Pilates exercises train the body and mind for natural, correct and efficient movements. It looks effortless but requires a lot of attention to details and good body awareness. The benefits of doing Pilates include better posture, stronger core, increased flexibility and body control. The exercises are done on a mat and/or on different equipment.

“I must be right. Never an aspirin. Never injured a day in my life. The whole country, the whole world, should be doing my exercises. They’d be happier.” – Joseph Hubertus Pilates, in 1965, age 86.

Start moving more.

Last year we found ourselves in a sitting position a lot of the time. We are sitting much more than before and most of the time just slumping. What happens when we slump? Hips, shoulders and neck become stiff and tight. Also, the posture affects our thoughts and in the slumped position, we cannot have any happy and positive thoughts. And, of course, stress and almost constant fear do not help. Moving during the day and participating in the classes improves your well-being and reduces stress. It feels so great to lie down on a mat and lengthen the spine after a long day of work sitting in front of a computer. However, a lot of the time the improvements we get practicing Pilates disappear very soon after the class. It takes some effort to bring “your class alignment” into your daily alignment.

We need to pay attention to how we sit, move, stand, and breathe. It takes time, focus and awareness to create a healthy and correct symmetry. Adding Standing Pilates classes to your mat classes will integrate all the benefits to a correct vertical body alignment. It restores postural integrity, teaches functional movement skills and develops a greater level of coordination, balance and strength. Learning to breathe and feel your feet while standing improves the efficiency of your body, reduces strain on a physical and psychological level. Better biomechanical position of the joints and body systems reduces the likelihood of injury. Att spela gratis casino spel online kan vara ett roligt sätt att varva ner och koppla av efter en lång dag, men glöm inte att ta en stund för att fokusera på andningen och känna marken under dina fötter innan du dyker in i spelet.
